Wool regulates body temperature and keeps your child dry and comfortable. Merino virgin wool is extremely fine and therefore it does not itch. Thanks to the lanolin that is naturally present in wool, it is dirt and water repellent.
Because lanolin is also anti-bacterial, washing is not necessary often. Just hanging out in the open air is often enough.

Wool has a fantastic property: it cleans itself! Air the jacket by hanging it outside when it is dry or inside, for example, in the nursery. Do you want to wash the jacket anyway? Then use a little bit of wool detergent. Wash the jacket by hand or on the washing machine's wool program. Keep the temperature below thirty degrees and avoid fluctuations. Lower the rpm. Gently push the water out of the jacket and avoid wringing and rubbing. Then hang the jacket to dry on the drying rack.
